Nine Months Old

It's hard to believe I am nine months old. I guess I'm old enough to eat the lollipop that Nonna and Papa got me for Easter!

I am talking more and more. I say mama, dada, baba and when mommy points to Charley I say something that sounds like "Dag". It might be mommy's imagination but we'll let her pretend that I really am saying dog.

I crawl around like crazy. I can stand up when holding on to furniture. Yesterday on my actual 9 month birthday I stood without holding on to anything for a few seconds and then I got scared.

I have two teeth! They finally came through a few weeks ago. Mommy and daddy were wondering if I was just going to be toothless forever.

I also like to wave hello and goodbye. But, I am going through a little stranger/separation anxiety which is normal so if I don't seem as friendly it's just because I am feeling a little shy.

The thing that mommy and daddy are most excited about is that I am finally sleeping in my crib. Daddy and I have a special routine when he gets home from work. He does a good job of putting me to sleep.

I can't wait for the summer!

Love, Oliver

Our Trip to Long Island

This past weekend we went down to Long Island to visit Aunt Shannon, Uncle Matt and my cousin Lorelai. We had such a great time! Aunt Shannon and Uncle Matt had a cookout and invited their friends from the Coast Guard and Uncle Matt's job. There were lots of little kids for me to play with and lots of good food. I tried watermelon, pineapple, hotdogs and chips. Yum!

We also went to a playground and I got to ride on the swings for the first time. I told daddy to push me as hard as he could but his pushes were kind of weak...maybe next time I'll be able to swing higher!

This blue whale swing was definitely my favorite. I couldn't stop laughing and smiling while I was in it.

Here is a picture of Lorelai and me taking a break from eating all the food. Don't worry, it's just water in our cups. I only had soda that one time on the airplane and that was because mommy was desperate!

Mommy took me down the slide for the first time. I wanted to go by myself but mommy said no. It probably worked out better that way!

This is my cousin Lorelai and Aunt Shannon. Lorelai may be in New York but she is still a Red Sox fan!

On Sunday we drove to mommy's friend Deb's house in Yorktown Heights for her baby shower. Deb and Tim are going to have a baby boy soon who I can't wait to play with. We had a great time.
