Wading Pool Fun!

The other day we went to a wading pool. I was very excited to get in the water. I have had periods of time throughout the past few years where I have not liked the water. This summer is not proving to be one of those times. I went right in.
I even went through the fountain. I only did it once, though. When mommy asked me if I wanted to do it again I told her that once was enough for today.

After all that playing, it was time for a snack.

We also went for a little walk at Bradley Palmer.

Then it was time for some more splashing and fun.

Such a fun way to spend a hot morning!

Weekend!

This past weekend we did the following:

We had a movie night. I watched the movie and ate popcorn with mommy and daddy while Adelaide played with her toys.

We went to the park after the rain stopped on Saturday.

I laughed hysterically over water that fell on my head when I was going on the zipline.

We made lasagna, without mommy!

And, we went to a really fun birthday party on Sunday. Hooray for the weekend!

Memory Boxes

Last week, there was a rainy day where we were looking for something to do so mommy asked us if we wanted to look through our memory boxes. We were excited by some of the treasures we found, including my Storyland driver's license, lots of cards, postcards, pictures and other goodies.

I was a little confused by my first picture!

I did find some special notes. One of them was from my GG who went to heaven a few years ago. It was a poem that she wrote for me when I was baptized.

Here is the little letter that the ultrasound tech wrote for mommy so she and daddy could be surprised when he called home from Afghanistan.

Here is another letter that GG wrote to my mommy and daddy. From what mommy and daddy have told me about her, she was a pretty special woman. I love looking at pictures of her and seeing these letters that she wrote.
Looking through our memory boxes was really fun.

Strawberry Fields.

Last week, Adelaide, mommy and I met up with my friend Lauren and her mommy at a farm for some strawberry picking. When Lauren and I saw each other, we started skipping across the parking lot.

We took a quick peek at the animals before picking our strawberries.

We each had one quart container to fill. Due to a few distractions, it actually took us quite a while to fill them up.

Adelaide was distracted by the sweet taste of the berries.

I only tried a few but was really focused on putting the strawberries in my container.

Lauren and I got distracted by a ladybug. We both were very amused by it.

After I held it, we decided that Lauren should hold the ladybug too.

Ultimately, I just picked it up and placed it in her hand.

Once my container was full and Lauren had found some flowers, we were just about done.

Before we left, we had a quick snack, held hands and looked at the animals again.
I had a really fun day with my friend Lauren!

Sliding, Riding and Rolling

Earlier this week, the weather was beautiful which meant that we got to spend quite a bit of time outside. We headed to one of my favorite parks where I slid down the slides and then had fun climbing up them again.

Then I discovered that I am tall enough and sturdy enough to walk down the slides.

Adelaide and I also played Simon Says. I, of course, like to be Simon and tell everyone else what to do. Adelaide had to do some silly things when I was Simon!

She even had to get a smooch from me!

Here I am telling mommy and Adelaide what they need to do next.

They need to chase me. They had a hard time catching me. I was too speedy!

All the running tired me out.

After all that playing at the park, it was time for some ice cream with Grammi!

I decided to ride my bike too. I am getting better. I was brave enough to ride my bike without Grammi holding on to me.

The next day, we went to another park where we decided to play pretend baseball.

I think I ran the bases at least three or four times!

We did some swinging on the tire swings.

After we played on the playground, Adelaide and I had some very very silly talk that involved lots of silly words. We thought it was hysterical

I asked mommy if I could take a picture and Adelaide had just tackled her so I caught a picture of them on the ground.

That afternoon, we went out for ice cream with mommy's friend Dawn.

And then went to another playground.

I see Boston!!!!

I was so excited to tell Dawn that I could see Boston!

Awesome hill to run around on.

Adelaide decided she wanted to sit down and watch me while I...

...decided to roll down the hill!

What a fun and silly time we had!
