Gobble Gobble Time!

On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, I had a feast at my school. I brought in cucumbers and peppers and we got to chop away preparing a yummy Thanksgiving snack. We also made turkey necklaces and learned a Thanksgiving song that I've been singing all week.

For the big day, we went to Grammi and Dzia Dzia's house to eat lots of food.

Lorelai, Adelaide and I decided to pose for a picture but Lorelai and I thought something was SO funny that we could hardly contain ourselves. Adelaide didn't quite get it yet, after all, she is only two!

When we sat down for dinner we were in for a few surprises! First, Grammi made hats for all of us. Then, I had a little present waiting for me. Finally, dinner was so good. We had turkey, stuffing (mommy's and Grammi's), potatoes, squash, green beans, corn, gravy and cranberry sauce.

Building Our Paper Bag Town

In my new issue of Highlights High Five, there were some cutouts to use for making a paper bag town. While Adelaide napped, mommy and I got to work making our paper bag town. I was happy because it involved cutting, taping, stuffing and playing.

Adelaide's Birthday and Other Happenings

When I first became a big brother two years ago, I was only fifteen months old. I really had no idea what was happening. In fact, I wasn't too sure about the whole thing. I liked being the only child. Then, my little sister came along.

Here she is on the day she was born.

Here is a picture of her on her first birthday. I must say, I had quite a bit more hair by my first birthday than she did. At this point, we were still feeling each other out and demanding quite a bit of mommy's time.

Here is Adelaide on her second birthday. I was so excited to share her birthday with her that I could hardly sleep for the days leading up to it. I knew it was her special day that belonged only to her. I asked mommy a few times if we were going to have an elephant cake like we did for her first birthday but she told me the cake would be different this year. I was very excited to see what book Adelaide received because I knew we would all get to read it after breakfast.

Adelaide's two...but I'm three! As I've pointed out, I'll always be older than her!

A picture of my sis, the birthday girl!

I was the only boy at the party. It was a cupcake tea party for the ladies, but when I found out there was going to be a party, how could I miss it? I put on my best shirt and pants and joined in on the fun.

At one point, Nonna thought it would be fun to tie me up!

Lorelai and I loved playing with the balloons!

I helped Adelaide open her presents.

On Sunday, we headed to Chuck E. Cheesits as we like to call it. We celebrated Adelaide's birthday with daddy.

The rest of the week, we were all a bit under the weather so we didn't do too much.

Halloween- The Final Installment

Finally, Halloween arrived. We had been waiting for a while now, and the anticipation had really been affecting my sleep! On Halloween, daddy and I went bowling while mommy got some work done and Adelaide napped. Later on in the afternoon, mommy and daddy told us that it was time to put on our costumes and go over to Grammi and Dzia Dzia's house.

Once we arrrived, I was so excited to find out what Grammi and Dzia Dzia were going to be that I could hardly stand it!

Here is a picture of when I got the first look at them. While I really wanted them to be a hamburger and french fries, they did not disappoint!

They were Woody and Jessie! So much fun!

Here I am having my picture taken, yet again.

Then Dzia Dzia decided to try to scare me!

Grammi is way too nice to scare me!

The first house we went to was my friend Nick's house.

After a full night of trick-or-treating and me continually exclaiming, "I love Halloween," we returned home only to have special visitors from next door!

Halloween Part 2

On Friday, we received a special Halloween card from Nonna and Papa. It had the monster mash song. I know part of the song- "I was working in the lab, late one night, when my eyes beheld an eerie sight." That's as far as I can get. Nonna and Papa helped to make Halloween fun this year. They also put all of our pictures onto a monster rap song and so we watched it over and over on the computer.

On Saturday, we went to Grammi and Dzia Dzia's house for a few hours while mommy and daddy prepared a special surprise for us- the Spooky Foods Dinner on the Eve of Halloween. I had been asking mommy for months if we were going to have spooky foods at Halloween. Finally, it was time. The spooky foods included a hand, mummy pizzas, mummy dogs, a haunted graveyard, a monster face, bat tortillas and bubbling brew.

We really wanted mommy and daddy to dress up like a mummy and a witch for the dinner so when we came home we were greeted by the two of them.

Mommy poured us some bubbling brew and the dinner got underway.

The bubbling brew was my favorite and, for some reason, I just thought it was so funny. The name bubbling brew is ridiculous. Ridiculous is my favorite word right now.

Cheers to our spooky dinner!

I also liked the mummy dogs. Adelaide liked the mummy pizzas.

When there is a candle, it has to be blown out, right?

We even had entertainment. Daddy did the entire mummy rap for us.

We tried to rap back.

Charley was totally afraid of daddy. Then he got a little bit braver so he started to pull at daddy's streamers and daddy started to come unraveled!

Here I am being chased by the mummy!!!

Mommy, oh mommy, you tried. You really did. Your rap was a nice attempt but I think you should leave the rapping to daddy and stick to just being our mommy.

Daddy isn't a mummy anymore!
