What I've Been Up To This Week

Well, these pictures are from last week when daddy came home from his trip. Mommy and I realized that we never put them on my blog so we figured this was as good of a time as any.
Daddy brought me back a cool shirt from Hong Kong. I asked mommy if I could wear it to school to show my teachers and friends. I was very excited to share with them!

As far as what I've been up to this week, I've been sick. Mommy and daddy commented last week that we had a pretty good winter staying illness free, and boom! The illness struck. I must say though, I've had some adventures as a result of this yuckiness. I made a trip to Minute Clinic, I got to wear diapers again this week, I dislike pedialyte but I'll drink it, I got to watch tv more in the past few days than my entire third year, I missed school and went to see the doc. Overall, we're getting a little stir crazy. When we last counted, mommy had changed about 34 diapers in the past day. Once I re-emerge from my cave, I'll have some more adventures to share!!!

What What!

The past few days I have been under the weather with a cold. But, after sleeping in this morning (which I rarely do), I woke up feeling much better. Today, Adelaide and I caught a case of the giggles. Mommy was trying to get a picture of me wearing my new shirt from Hong Kong and then we started running and laughing. Mommy would hide and pop out and say "what what" and then we just cracked up. We had so much fun laughing together.

Love the Slides

The other day we met Auntie Shannon, Lorelai and Cali and Monkey Joe's. Lorelai and I had a blast climbing up the slides and then sliding down. We even went on the big slide. I loved going down. I could have done this for hours!

Lorelai and I also made it across the obstacle course.
When we got to the top, we decided to go down together!

Adelaide and I have been getting a kick out of skype. We look forward to talking to daddy in the morning!

The other day, I asked mommy if we could play legos so we built this truck (using the diagram of course)! To be completely honest, it took mommy forever!!! Daddy would have done this much quicker.
I thought it would be really fun to make a bed on the couch out of all the pillows.
Finally, it's park weather!!! We went to the park the other day and had a great time running around and playing on the playground.
Spring is on it's way!!!!

I like to Hug My Sister...and Bounce!

In the midst of all the hugging and bouncing, I went to Maine this past weekend with Grammi and Dzia Dzia. I had a great time eating hotdogs, going for walks, reading books and sleeping on the cot. I love spending time with them!

Here I am giving Adelaide some extra special love. Actually, I am pretending that I fell asleep while hugging her!
Kisses for my sister!
Hugs before bedtime.
Playing in our car upstairs. We love going to all sorts of places in the car. On this particular day we went to Used Book Superstore to get some new books.
Mostly, I am Skippyjon Jones but instead of being a Siamese cat, I am a toddler to my bones. I LOVE to bounce. And bounce...and bounce. It gets some energy out, especially during this long winter!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

The other day we threw a little party for daddy. When mommy asked me what I wanted to wear, I adamantly replied my Buzz Lightyear costume. But, I was quick to point out that "I am still Oliver, just dressed up like Buzz."Adelaide and I picked out the decorations which consisted of Sponge Bob napkins, plates and streamers. We also got hats and noisemakers.

Adelaide and I were excited to help daddy blow out the candles. All day long we had been singing "Happy Birthday" to get ready.

The cake turned my tongue VERY blue.

It was a fun celebration for daddy. I love him!

The Butterfly Place

A few weeks ago, mommy saw a really good deal to the Butterfly Place on a website. She decided to take advantage of it and we headed there on Wednesday to check it out. We did enjoy looking at the butterflies but after about thirty minutes we had enough. We had a little paper guide to show us what butterflies to look for and I took this very seriously. I walked around looking for butterflies to match the ones on my handout. Adelaide really liked the butterfly below. She kept on staring at it. She was really good about not touching them or walking off the path. As mommy and I both explained to her, there are certain rules when it comes to butterflies.
In search of more butterflies to check off the list.
Here's one! This was such a captivating butterfly. We caught sight of it while it was eating.

Today, before dinner, mommy gave us all sorts of seeds to play with. She learned this exploration in her science class and decided to let us have fun with it. We had lots of fun under VERY close supervision. This is definitely not the type of thing we would have done without mommy's watchful eye because of the size of the seeds. It definitely kept us entertained. I was convinced that one of the seed's was a bird's egg. I couldn't be convinced otherwise. I had fun sorting, lifting and exploring the seeds.

I'm a Cool Boy...That's My Thing!

Well, this past weekend mommy and I had a special outing to get me a pair of sunglasses. Long story short, I found a pair of sunglasses that mommy had picked up for Adelaide which prompted me to ask mommy for my own pair. Mommy realized she really wanted to have some Oliver time so we went off in search of the perfect pair of sunglasses. After trying on a few pairs, I found the ones! I've been wearing them whenever I get the chance. Here I am checking them out in Adelaide's mirror. I really do like my shades.

On Monday, I asked mommy if we could do a science experiment so we did the exploding volcano experiment. I thought it was exciting to see the bubbles go over the sides of the beaker.

We also had a visit from a special little cousin. Cali spent the morning with us the other day.

Mommy learned an experiment at school the other night that she shared with us.

Once again, what kid doesn't wear sunglasses when they eat cantaloupe?
