Very Special Visitors!

Last week, Auntie Erin and Uncle Dan came for a visit with their dog Jules. We got ready for them by making this very special sign to welcome them.
Once they arrived, the fun officially began. We all (including Jules and Charley) went to a park to play! To say that I was a little bit enamored with Auntie Erin would be a bit of an understatement. She is pretty cool!

Our trip to the park included running around with the dogs, walking Charley, hanging by the water...

And my favorite, swinging Charley. I don't think he loved it but I had a good time.

After the park, we went back to our house and had a dinner that mommy made. Our babysitter Nikki came to watch us while the adults went out to a jazz bar. The fun was just beginning because out next adventure with Uncle Dan and Auntie Erin included a trip to Cape Cod! Stay tuned.

Photos from the Week!

Mommy's schoolwork took precedence this week but we still managed to have some fun.

We saw mommy's friend Rebecca and her son. They were visiting from California.

Candid moment!

Here I am deciding what to put on the grill.

Love going through tunnels! Especially when I am chasing my sister:)

Despite the overcast skies, we had fun swinging at the park.

And, making cupcakes. This was one messy project!

Yummy frosting!

Adelaide, don't forget to share with me!!!

Daddy's Big Day!

For the past 21 months, daddy has been working very hard on his MBA while working full-time. Saturday, Adelaide and I headed to Grammi and Dzia Dzia's house for the night while mommy and daddy went into Boston to attend a ceremony. We arrived at Grammi and Dzia Dzia's all ready to spend the night.
Before mommy left, she snapped some pictures of me riding my bike with Dzia Dzia. Dzia Dzia insisted on wearing his helmet to walk while I rode my bike!

I am able to ride without help! Adelaide and I had a huge adventure because we hopped into Dzia Dzia's truck and we all went to Maine for the night! We stopped at Friendly's on the way and I noticed that the water wasn't frozen anymore. It's almost time for swimming!

Meanwhile, mommy and daddy headed into Boston to attend daddy's luncheon. Mommy said she had a great time meeting all of daddy's classmates. She was very proud of him!

After the ceremony, mommy and daddy went out with some of his friends and then grabbed dinner.

Sunday was Mother's Day! When mommy came home, we were waiting for her with flowers and dinner. I love my mommy!

My Week

We went for a nice walk at the end of last weekend with mommy and daddy. We stopped to put air in the tires of the jogging stroller and while we were waiting, Adelaide got a smooch from me.
Aha! Now we know why daddy wanted to put air in the tires. Apparently he has a need for speed. He raced us up the hill and had us laughing hysterically.

We also went to open gymnastics. Now that the weather is getting nicer outside, it's not as crowded and we have more space to explore. This is the small trampoline,

Here is the bigger trampoline that I jump down to get to the blocks.

Being silly on my "boat."

The block pit! I think this is my favorite part of open gymnastics.

This week was teacher appreciation week at school and my teachers were in for some surprises from the parents, including these little gift bags. My teachers are great and they have helped me grow so much this year.

I also decided that I really wanted to learn how to crack an egg.

We met up with mommy's friend Meg and her kids Henry and Hazel at the Museum of Science.

At school all week we worked on a special project for our mom's that involved a shoe. In my case, it involved a slipper:) I gave mommy hints all week about what it was, such as "it goes in a shoe, it grows, it needs water." I think she was really surprised!

Mommy had to observe a tree this semester for one of her classes. Part of that observation included measuring the tree. Mommy's teacher had mentioned a kindergarten class that had once used a balloon to measure a tree. We decided it would be fun to try it so we got a balloon and attached lots of string to it.

What we weren't counting on was the wind. We came to the VERY scientific conclusion that the tree was taller than the total length of the balloon. That was it!

Need for Speed!

Saturday morning finally arrived! The day of the big race that I'd been eagerly anticipating all week. When we got to the site, I checked in and picked up my number and t-shirt. I immediately decided that I would wear my shirt for the fun run.

At daddy's urging, I am doing some warming up exercises.

We are checking out the competition. Totally kidding...really just looking around at all the exciting activity.

Dzia Dzia surprised us and showed up to cheer us on!

Waiting for our age group to be called.

It's time for Adelaide's race...GO Adelaide!

My sister ran very hard toward the finish. I was proud of her. Look at how focused she was!

When the time came for the 3-4 year old category, I was ready to go.

On my way back to the finish line.

I got my medal and high fives!
Adelaide and I hugged each other after our races.

And I am super excited that I did it! I asked mommy and daddy when I could do the next one.
