Frogs, Snails and Puppy Dog Tails!

I'm not going to keep anyone in suspense any longer. Mommy and Daddy found out on Tuesday that I am a boy! Finally, I don't have to keep this secret any more. I had to play along with mommy these past few months when she kept on thinking I was a girl. I did a good job tricking her (she even bought me a girl outfit last week... looks like she'll be taking that back to the store)! Don't get me wrong, I will enjoy my time with the ladies, like mommy's friends and all my aunties, but I am really excited to hang out with the men, like my uncles and daddy's friends. I've heard a lot about daddy's friends, Uncle Conan, Uncle Rob and Uncle Jesse, from mommy. I can't wait to go fishing with daddy and his friends. Imagine how surprised mom was on Tuesday. Daddy was right after all! Here's how they found out. Mommy went with Grammi to the ultrasound since daddy couldn't be there. They got to see all my different body parts. They also found out I am about 6 1/2 inches long and weigh 10 1/2 ounces. Mommy got a sneaking suspicion that I was a boy when she saw my feet on the screen. Turns out, they are a pretty good size for little tiny me. You can interpret that however you want. At the end, mommy asked the person taking the pictures if she could tell what I am and the nurse said with certainty that she could. She apparently didn't have to look too hard. That was another hint for Mommy. Mommy told the nurse that she really wanted to find out with daddy so she gave the nurse a piece of paper to write down whether I was a boy or girl. Mommy had the nurse fold it up many times so she wouldn't be tempted to peek. Later on that day, daddy called and they opened the paper together and found out. I'm glad they found out together. Now they are going to work on names for me. They are keeping it a surprise until I am born.

My big feet have been working hard the past week or so. Mommy felt me kick last week for the first time and since then she's been feeling me pretty regularly. Just wait until I really start to grow! My Great-Aunt Marian asked Grampi if mommy had popped yet. I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds scary. People have been telling mom she'll pop soon and then everyone will be able to tell that she is pregnant. I'll let you know when it happens.

More pictures of me will be coming soon. Daddy also wants to see a picture of mommy but she's going to wait a few more weeks to put one up.

Love,

Baby Boy Sweatman
