Oliver or Charley?

I have mommy and daddy all confused! They have been trying to get me to look their way when they say my name but for some reason I never respond. They say, "Oliver, Oliver" but to me that means nothing. Isn't my name Charley? Mommy and daddy couldn't believe it when I started responding to the name Charley. I thought our dog was named Oliver and I was named Charley because they were always saying "Charley." Mommy had to explain to me that my name is actually Oliver and not Charley. Now that I know, I'll respond to Oliver.

I've been busy the past few weeks. We went to Maddie's first birthday party and also to Grammi and Dziadzia's house to celebrate Uncle Mike and Uncle Matt's birthday. We had a great time. Dziadzia started singing the Jingle-Jangle Song and next thing I knew, everyone was singing and clapping. The excitement was enough to make me start dancing! I never knew how much fun it was to dance until that night.

Mommy, daddy and I went to the Cape last weekend to visit Nonna and Papa. I had a fun time. I got to play on the grass with Nonna.

Nonna also took us to Heritage Park where I walked around in my stroller and went on my first carousel ride. I wanted to go by myself but mommy insisted she ride with me. Not sure why, but I think she was scared to ride her own horse. She was holding on really tight to me which I think made her feel less frightened! I also sat in my first tree which was kind of cool. Pretty soon mom's going to have to be climbing trees to catch me! Look out! Hope mommy isn't afraid of heights the way she is afraid of horses!

It's hard to believe I am almost 10 months old. My big development this month is that I stand on my own. Of course, the first time I really stood on my own was in the bathtub when I was naked and mommy decided that picture was not suited for the blog. I thought I looked pretty darn cute, but some things should be left to the imagination!

Until next time,

Oliver
