Some New Pictures from May

The beginning of May was filled with lots of fun activities for mommy, daddy and me. For Mother's Day, daddy took mommy out to dinner at an Italian restaurant in Boston. They got all dressed up and had a date night...the first one they have had in a while. Grammi and Dziadzia babysat for me. I was on my best behavior because I want them to babysit for me again soon.

On Mother's Day, I got my first taste of blueberry pancakes...what a treat!!! Mommy made them for daddy and me and I went crazy over them. I actually ate almost two pancakes all by myself. I think I got most of them in my mouth. The rest went to Charley. I wish it was Mother's Day everyday. Maybe mommy will make pancakes for my birthday in July...hint, hint!

The Mother's Day celebration continued when we went to Grammi and Dziadzia's house for dinner. Uncle Mike and Aunt Carolyn were there as well. Grammi made a yummy dinner. The best part was that I got to play in the grass in their backyard. Here is a picture of me touching their grass for the first time. I was a little bit afraid to sit on it because it felt kind of prickly but once I got used to how it felt, I had no problem playing in the grass. I have to keep on reminding everyone that everything feels new to me!

Memorial Day weekend we spent in Maine with Grammi, Dziadzia, Uncle Mike and Aunt Carolyn. Mimi and Papa were back from Florida so I got to spend some time with my great-grandparents. I like going over there because they always have candy for me, like gumdrops! The weather was a little bit cold, but it still didn't stop me from taking my first boat ride. I was in good spirits until mommy and daddy put on my life jacket. It felt kind of funny around my neck. I kept on pulling at it...as you can tell from the picture below!

I know there will be a lot more boat rides for me this summer. I will try to get used to wearing a life jacket. It did match the color of my hair!

A few other exciting things happened this month. Mommy's friend Deb and her husband Tim had their baby, Dylan! I am so excited to play with him as he gets older. Mommy and daddy drove down to New York to meet Dylan right after he was born. I stayed behind and spent time with Grammi and Dziadzia and then Uncle Mike and Aunt Carolyn. I should have told mommy that I wasn't feeling well because when she and daddy got back, my temperature was 104. Turns out I had roseola. I was sick for four days. I loved having mommy and daddy take care of me. They normally don't let me have juice, but because I needed to stay hydrated they gave me apple flavored pedialyte. It tasted delicious. I can't wait until I have more juice!

I now have 6 teeth! I got 4 teeth the same week I was feeling under the weather for a total of 6. It makes eating food more fun! My new favorite food is risotto. Mommy made it one night for dinner and after watching daddy eat the leftovers for breakfast I decided I wanted some so they let me try it and boy was it good. I couldn't get enough!

I'm looking forward to all the fun adventures this summer has in store!

Love, Oliver
