PEM and Park

On Wednesday, we headed to the Peabody Essex Museum to see their new spy display in the art and nature center. We had lots of fun exploring. I used these shapes to make a fish.

I then tried to make this top spin.

One of our favorite rooms had these special lenses we could look through to see different 3d images. I also had fun pushing the lever to show off the next picture.

This morning mommy did something REALLY silly! She asked what I wanted for breakfast and I said ice cream cone. So, next thing I knew, she handed me an ice cream cone filled with blueberries and sausages. The real reason she did that was the dishwasher was running but I thought it was so funny! We had a great time. Charley targeted Adelaide and her food so I got to eat my breakfast in peace.

We needed energy to head to our favorite park.

The Way Life Should Be- Part 2

On Saturday morning we woke up and played with Mr. Potato Head with Gabriella.

Dzia Dzia and I also played with my remote controlled train before heading down to the water.

I have my fishing pole all ready to catch the big one. I'm just waiting for Dzia Dzia to find the perfect spot.

Still waiting to find my mud fish.

Even Grammi joined me to keep me company while I tried to find this fish!

Finally, I decided that now that I am three I am brave enough to go in the water near the islands. Mommy and I had fun playing with the noodle!

We even got Adelaide to join us!

Since I became a fishing expert on this boatride, I decided to give Daddy some pointers!

Lorelai showed up later on in the afternoon with a big surprise! She got her ears pierced. I thought it was pretty cool!

Just hanging around with my cousin.

After dinner, we went over to Mimi and Papa's where we got to enjoy a delicious cake.

The Way Life Should Be- Part 1

Hot and humid weather means we took a little trip up to Maine. We'll be here for almost a week but here are some pictures from our first few days. Once we arrived we were so excited to go down to the water.

I headed right into the water and kept on splashing mommy to get her to swim with me. We were able to play for about an hour before the rain started to come in.

After baths, dinner and pajamas, we took Charley for a walk. Correction: mommy took Charley for a walk while I walked Adelaide!

The next morning we had a little snack before taking another walk.

I thought it was SO funny to let go of the handle. Luckily we weren't walking very fast.

When we got back to the house, Adelaide really wanted to go in the swing but it was really wet so I got a towel and dried the entire swing for her.

Then I moved on to mommy and daddy's car. I dried everything, including the tires.

Don't you love my boots by the way!

Finally it was time to head down to the water for some beach time.

After lunch we shucked the corn for dinner.

We needed to get out of the sun for a little while so we went to the library where they had a great collection of stuffed animals.

When we got back, mimi and papa had a treat waiting for us! I'm also trying to negotiate getting a jellybean as well.

With renewed energy, it was time to hit the beach again. I decided to look for fish with my binoculars.

Papa fixed my net for me and made it a little bit shorter so I could catch fish easier.

Mommy tried really hard to catch a fish but it didn't work so I'll have to wait for daddy to help me.

We also saw a real duck at the end of the day.

Weekend Recap

We spent Saturday morning with daddy while mommy got her hair cut. He took us for a walk to Dunkin Donuts. We got a chocolate milk and munchkins. We also walked to the beach but it was already so hot that we decided to go home. That afternoon daddy had schoolwork to do so mommy took us out for a few hours. Later on that afternoon we went to a cookout at Erin and Jeff's house. I had a blast. First because Nonna and Papa were there. Second, Nonna baked me some cookies to bring home and third, there was this really fun beanbag toss that I could have played with for hours! The next morning, we headed up to Halibut State Park in Rockport before the weather got too warm. These pictures are from our hike there.

Here I am with my new binoculars that daddy brought back from Washington DC for me. I thought they would be useful on our walk!

Mommy and I walking along the path to get to the place where we can go fishing. Daddy walked with Adelaide on his shoulders. I really wanted to hold mommy's hand.

We are deciding exactly which path we want to take to get to the rocks where we can do some "fishing."

I have the net ready! I have been waiting for a whole YEAR to use this net from Nonna and Papa. It was just perfect for getting some snails and crabs.

Daddy helped me look for some crabs!

While looking for snails I probably should have thought to use my binoculars but I was too busy!

Even without my binoculars I still managed to catch a snail and was VERY excited to show mommy and daddy!

Sunday morning was a really fun adventure! I can't wait to do it again soon.

Blueberries for Oliver!

Today we went blueberry picking. Nonna had mentioned to mommy that she went blueberry picking and it served as a good reminder that our favorite fruit was now ripe for picking. We each got a container. Mommy made it very clear that I only pick the really blue ones.

I have no idea what I am looking at here but I was trying to give Adelaide a hug and a kiss.

And then, we're off! It quickly became obvious that Adelaide was enjoying more berries than she was putting in her little container. We also stumbled upon the raspberries and decided to pick those instead because they were much more ripe and delicious!

This picture is of us eating the end result...some blueberries and raspberries that mom washed off for us. In fact, we ate everything we picked before we made it home. We love fruit! I think raspberries might be giving blueberries a close race for our current favorite fruit.
