End of Summer Action

This past weekend we went over to Grammi and Dzia Dzia's house. Dzia Dzia was busy. He is fixing the side of the house. Mommy helped him put together that contraption that he is standing on. Just call him Dzia Dzia on the roof!

Mommy got us a Happy Meal...in the authentic boxes. I was SO SO SO excited to open my box and see what was inside. I found nuggets, french fries....

And a TOY!!!

On Sunday we met up with daddy's friend, his wife and their two children at the beach. It was a beautiful day and the water was really warm and shallow.

Once I learned how to splash I decided to try to get everyone wet. Mommy told me that I have to ask people if they mind being splashed. I'll try to remember!

Here's a little buddy of mine and we were looking for shrimp in the seaweed. We didn't find any.

Daddy gave me a ride in the water.

On Monday, we went to Shrewsbury to see mommy's friends from college. Erin is a special person to mommy and me. She sends me the best birthday books! They have become some of my favorites. This is the third time I've seen her but I felt totally comfortable around her.

Here is mommy's friend Elizabeth and her daughter Maggie. Maggie and I had a great time playing together.

I liked making her laugh!

Here is a picture of all of us (except for Henry who was helping Matt take a picture).

Hugs for Erin. I have no idea why I have that look on my face but I do like her, I promise!

Hanging out with Preston and Sadie. We went to a park and then had some popsicles and played.

Dance party!!! Preston had some pretty great moves. Overall, a fun few days. I am sad that summer is coming to an end but excited for the start of preschool next week.

Park Fun

The other day mommy took us to a new park in Gloucester. It was a science park that had lots of interesting activities for Adelaide and me.

One of the first things that caught my eye was the balance beam leading up to the slide. I was very cautious making my way across. But, I didn't fall down and I started jumping up and down when I made it to the other side.

Here is a picture of Adelaide following me.

Once we made it to the slide it was a roller slide which rotated as we went down. I thought it was really fun!

Lately, Adelaide has been a little bit hesitant going down slides so I took her hand and helped her go down.

I also found this turning knob that made the fish move.

I mostly just like turning the wheel but here are a few pictures!

Of course we made our way to the swings. They didn't have any baby swings so Adelaide and I kicked off our shoes and started swinging.

I also saw this turn thing where as I turned the handle I went around pretty fast in circles. I did get a little bit dizzy but I really liked this part of the playground.

Adelaide and I went on the see-saw together.

We also played with the map of the United States on the ground. Since Uncle Dan and Aunt Erin got me a globe for my birthday, I've learned a few important places in the country. One is the state of Maryland where my cousins Grace and Ryan live.

The other state is California where Uncle Dan and Auntie Erin live. I am enjoying learning where everybody lives!

In the afternoon, we went for a walk with Lorelai and Auntie Shannon.

Off To Nonna and Papa's House We GO!!!

The big day finally arrived! Adelaide and I were old enough to go on an overnight by ourselves to Nonna and Papa's house on Cape Cod. When mommy asked me if I wanted to do that, without a moment's hesitation, I answered YES!!! We arranged to meet Nonna halfway so she could bring us back to her house. All morning I kept on asking mommy if it was time to go and finally it was. Adelaide WAS just as excited as me but I kept on bumping into her with my suitcase so I think she was getting a little upset.

Mommy packed a note for each of us in our suitcases. We read them with Nonna. I don't have many pictures of our time with Nonna and Papa before mommy arrived, but I can certainly tell you what we did. We played with Nonna and Papa, Nonna made us meatballs and we all had a nice dinner together and then she did a great job putting us to bed. Because the weather was so rainy, we didn't spend too much time outside but we did sit for a few minutes on the front porch and pretend that we were the ones causing the trees to blow (not the wind)!

Before mommy arrived, we had a yummy breakfast and played. When mommy arrived, Nonna, mommy, Adelaide and I went to the children's museum. It was so crowded. There is a train that I like to play on. Two girls came over and asked if they could be my passengers. They even had little tickets to give me so I said "All Aboard" and took them to their destination!

On Tuesday night we went to a pizza place where we can make our own pizzas. Imagine how excited Adelaide and I were to make our own pizzas!!! Nonna helped me a little bit.

I finished up the pizza by adding pepperoni.

I'm not sure if I was really allowed to or not, but after I finished making my pizza I took it upon myself to bring it into the kitchen. We had the most DELICIOUS meal! Papa also taught me a new game. It involves numbers. I've been playing it with mommy since he taught me it.

When we got home from dinner, Adelaide was really tired so mommy put her to bed and then the excitement really began! At least, exciting for a three year old! I had a little box of cereal and Brock, Erin and Jeff's dog (Nonna is dogsitting for the week), was determined to get either my cereal or the box. Nonna and I tried to play really strong defense. But, if you'll notice, we left the cereal box unguarded!

Brock had lots of fun playing with the box!

Nonna gave Brock some hugs and kisses and he seemed to forget about me.

Before we left, I picked a pepper and mommy took a picture of me in front of my pumpkin. It's changing colors and getting so big. I can't wait to see it this fall!

When we got home, I was determined to wear Adelaide's new pants that match her top. Mommy picked them up for Adelaide because it was so cold.

Here is Adelaide wearing the top and me wearing the pants. Mommy just went with it. I must admit, the pants were pretty comfortable! Overall, I had a really fun few days with Nonna and Papa. The best part was that I heard Nonna telling mommy that we are invited to stay with her by ourselves anytime. Hip Hip Hooray!

Auntie Carolyn and Me

On Friday, I got to have an adventure with Auntie Carolyn while mommy watched Gabriella and Adelaide. Auntie Carolyn and I went to a park. We walked to the park and then when we got there, she pushed me on the swings. We also had a popcorn snack! She had a very special surprise for me. She gave me a special lunchbox to use at preschool! I am really excited to use it. I can't wait for my first day which is two weeks from tomorrow!!!
