Recovering from Cape Cod Mania!

This past week was really low key. After all of the excitement of Cape Cod, combined with me having a high fever, I didn't do too much. The best part about being sick was that I got to have popsicles and soup whenever I wanted. I even had soup for breakfast one morning! On Monday I was still recovering so at the end of the day mommy gave me some popcorn, put on Toy Story 2 and I was out like a light. I didn't even make it upstairs. She had to carry me up to my room.

I also saw my friend Nick this week. We played in the pool in his backyard. We put stuff in the pool but before we threw it in we would guess whether or not it would sink or float.

We finally got some new paints for painting! Adelaide and I have been patiently waiting for mommy to get some new ones and when we got to paint again we were ecstatic!

On Thursday, we went out to dinner with Aunt Shannon, Uncle Matt, Lorelai, Aunt Carolyn, Uncle Mike and Gabriella. Before we walked to the restaurant, we sat outside on the bench. We were all being very silly! Doesn't Lorelai look like she is about three feet taller than Adelaide and me?!

I had fun walking with my Godparents. They walked with Lorelai and me.

There were even balloons on the way to dinner! I reminded mommy of that this morning when we were talking about what we did yesterday! I did notice the balloons, and I did think they were pretty cool!

At the restaurant I made sure to sit next to my cousin Gabriella! Okay, I am sure that the injury to my face is hard to miss. I was going to make up some really great story about how I engaged in a highly dramatic boxing match, but the truth is that I was helping mommy take out the trash and tripped. I did act like a big boy though. Mommy was very proud of how I handed my injury! So, while I wouldn't say this week was my best one ever with the sickness and injury, I would say that the fun parts definitely made up for the not-so-great moments!
