Mr. Thirsty

The other day, I went to my first real dentist appointment. The last time I went, it wasn't so much fun. I was only 15 months old and managed to slip and fall onto the coffee table. This incident required stitches and a trip to the dentist.

Mommy found a pediatric dentist near where we live. This place was great! They had toys in the waiting area, the person who cleaned my teeth was really friendly and they had all sorts of nifty things for me to play with, including Mr. Thirsty. I loved Mr. Thirsty. I got to hold him in my mouth while the nice lady in pink cleaned my teeth. She told me that Mr. Thirsty likes to eat the bubbles so I had to use Mr. Thirsty to gobble them up.

Taking my Mr. Thirsty job very seriously! At the end, I picked a sticker and a little toy from the Treasure Chest.

The other thing I did this week was start swim lessons. I was really brave UNTIL I put my toes in and realized just how cold the water was. At least, that's what I told mommy. Maybe I was a little nervous too. Regardless, the way the class broke down was the more advanced swimmers went with one instructor and the less advanced swimmers, the one and only ME, went with the other instructor. She was incredibly patient with me and with about 20 minutes left in class I finally went in with her. Maybe next week I'll get in a little bit earlier?
