Our New Year Adventure- Part One

When I woke up very early on Thursday morning, I went running into mommy and daddy's room and yelled "Surprise, it's a Rockville day. We're going to see Auntie Margaret, Uncle Tom, Grace and Ryan." We got in the car and drove for about five hours before stopping for lunch. Adelaide and I had a hot dog and chocolate milk.

After driving for another four hours, we arrived! Grace and Ryan were waiting for us. Grace was excited to show us how strong she was. She could lift me up like it was the easiest thing in the world. I knew I would definitely learn a thing or two from them this weekend!

After Grace and I had a brief conference, we decided it was time to get the party started! Music was on and it was loud.

We were all ready to dance. I did my world famous head shake all over the room.

Next up: dinner! Uncle Tom made a yummy chicken parmesan and we all dug in.

Hug for Auntie Margaret!

Before I went to bed, I played Wii with Uncle Tom and Daddy. I would like to think that I gave Uncle Tom a run for his money!

The next morning, we woke up with lots of energy. We were ready to pile in the chair for lots of laughs.

Ryan got a bike from Santa and once I realized that I could pedal, I had fun riding it around the house. Grace made a good passenger.

Before breakfast we also playing a little Candy Land with mommy.

We watched Dora.

Then some more hugs.

After breakfast, we all got ready for our day in Rockville. I did not want to take my picture in this one. The excitement was just too much!

I did have fun sitting with the cousins though.

If you know me at all, you know that I love riding in other people's cars. I got the good news that I could ride with Grace and Ryan. I was incredibly excited. Like asking non-stop when I was going for a ride in their car excited!

Before pottery, we went out for donuts.

Mommy and I decided to make some salt and pepper shakers for our house. I was very very adamant that it be done a certain way so it is quite possible that these salt and pepper shakers will be gray when we get them back. Let's just say lots of colors all mixed together.

I did have fun though!

Grace and Ryan were excited to show us the Christmas tree.

At the discovery center, I had a blast. I looked through a microscope.

And then Ryan and I looked through telescopes.

After lunch, we had a little singing show for mommy.

And then it was time for bikes while Adelaide napped. I was so happy to be able to pedal but I did get frustrated with the little tricycle. I had a hard time.

Later on that night, I told mommy I was ready for a big kid bike and that I really wanted it to be yellow and green. She agreed that this spring would be a great time to learn how to ride a bike!

Grace was one of the speediest 4 year olds that I know.

Here I am.

After the bike ride, we went on a neighbor's trampoline. I loved bouncing...and bouncing...and bouncing.

Mommy popped us like popcorn.

At the end of the day, we got changed and went out for Mexican food for dinner. It was New Year's Eve, but unlike when I was 6 months old, I did not make it to midnight. All the activity wore me out. Maybe next year!
