Bars and Parties

No, I'm not spending my time hanging out in bars. I am talking about the uneven bars that I can now swing from by myself. Last week was my last class at the Little Gym (really it's this Thursday but we are heading to the Cape to see Nonna and Papa). At my last class, I showed mommy all of the things I learned how to do. I walk across the low beam by myself.

I can easily navigate all the tumble mats and climb without help.

The next picture is of my very favorite thing! The Air Track! Hooray! Every few weeks the instructor brings it out. We all sit on it while it inflates. I actually get to help the instructor do the countdown and push the button. As you all know, I love buttons! They are my favorite. Anyway, once this air track is inflated we follow the round disks over to it and bounce our way down to the end. SO much fun!!!

I am getting stronger arms. I can swing on the uneven bars by myself. One class, with the help of the instructor, I even moved from the low bar to the high bar. I was feeling rather brave that day. I haven't done it since then but at least I know I can!!!

The beam! This has been one of my other favorites since day one. With mommy's help I like to walk across the high beam. I also can sit on it without help.

This is the biggest development of all. For weeks, we've been working on somersaults in class. I never wanted to do one but I was watching. A few weeks ago I asked mommy if we could practice at home and so we started practicing. Finally, at my very last class, I decided it was time to do one without mommy. The instructor helped me and over I went! The Little Gym was really great for me. When I started I was a little bit shy and nervous about trying new things but by the end I was happy that we did the class.

On Friday, we got together with mommy's friend Jen and Ava and Ryan. We went to the new park at Salem Common and then to Puleo's for ice cream. There was a little cow there and I couldn't wait to insert my face into it!

I have been waiting for this weekend for a few weeks! First, it was Cameron's birthday party at his house! His mommy made a huge train out of cardboard and we all got to paint this train. Here I am with Cameron. You can see Adelaide in the background getting ready to join us.

Roberta also had pin the propeller on the airplane. I ended up sneaking a peek and putting it in it's exact place!

One of the best parts of all was the cake! We all sang Happy Birthday and then it was time for some yummy cake! After Cameron's birthday, we headed to Nick's birthday at a farm. Mommy's camera ran out of batteries so we don't have any pictures but let's just say it was fun! There was a tractor ride, pizza, cake, pinata and strawberry picking! Overall a really great day!
